Hey guys! I'm zupero, and today I'm gonna explain the difference about Camera Modules and Ultrasonic sensors
Cameras sometimes function like Ultrasonic sensors in robotics right? But don't confuse, let's explore:
Cameras are like eyes for bots, they work by taking the data from the lens and converting it to Binary- a code of 0s and 1s for computer understanding and showing it into the screen. The first DigitalCamera was invented in 1973 by Kodak engineer Steven Sasson.
Ultrasonic sensors are different- they send some amount radio waves and they bounce back -> it reads the time and understands the distance to object. The sensor was invented in 1940, no single person made it, lots of people passed theories in years and made one final sensor.

In robotics, Cameras and Ultrasonic sensors are used widely, for obstacle avoiding, obstacle following, sending messages, intelligence, etc.
Ultrasonic sensors look like eyes, but they are ears for the bot.
Cameras look like one eyed Aliens, but the are just converters of data.

Space rovers
Earth rovers
Person following robot
Identifying bots
